MESOTHERAPY

What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a technique used to deliver medications, natural ingredients such as vitamins, minerals and amino acids, and homeopathic substances, to a specific area of the body to treat a specific condition. This is done by painless micro-injections into the layer just beneath the skin, called the mesoderm.

How does Mesotherapy reduce cellulite?
Cellulite is reduced by:
Improving the interstitial fluid quality
Dissolving and shrinking fat cells
Improving blood flow to the area
Removing/improving fibrotic connective tissue
Improving lymphatic drainage

How does Mesotherapy reduce fat?
Localized fat spots are reduced by:
Breaking down existing fat cells
Blocking cells from storing fat

How do Mesotherapy treatments rejuvenate the face?
Facial skin is rejuvenated by stimulating collagen and elastin production.

How many treatments are needed?
Varies from patient to patient and depends on the diagnosed condition, the area to be treated, and the patient's expectations.

How many Mesotherapy treatments before seeing results?
Varies from patient to patient and depends on the diagnosed condition, the area to be treated, and the patient's expectations.

What does it cost?
$300 per  area per treatment depending on the area treated. Packages are available and encouraged as it offers a significant savings, since Mesotherapy requires several treatments to be effective.

Is Mesotherapy painful?
No. The specialized needle is extremely fine and the skin (fat) is often pinched between the doctor's fingers during the injection. There may be a slight burning sensation, which will quickly go away. If you are very sensitive we can pre-treat the area with topical anesthetic cream, which makes the treatment virtually painless.

Will it last?

Yes. The results will last, especially if combined with exercise and a healthy diet. Occasional maintenance treatments are recommended.

Are there any side effects?
An occasional effect is bruising in the area of the injections. This is usually very minor and generally resolves within a week.

Who cannot have Mesotherapy?
People with the following conditions should not have cosmetic Mesotherapy:
Pregnancy
Insulin dependent diabetes
History of stroke
History of recent cancer
History of blood clots
Patients on multiple medications for heart disease

What is treatment like?

During your Mesotherapy treatment, medication is injected into the middle layer of the skin, also known as the mesoderm. These remedies are introduced in very small doses to the areas that need treatment. Each skin condition or body area that you would like treated demands a specific formula to achieve the desired result. For example, skin rejuvenation would require a formula that includes nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and hyalorunic acid. To effectively treat cellulite, several compounds are injected to dissolve the connective tissues that produce the "cottage cheese" appearance and increase lymphatic flow. The microinjections are relatively painless, so there is no need for anesthesia. You can resume normal activities following your Mesotherapy treatment. The most common side effect you may experience is slight bruising from the injections.

How long do the results last?
Your lifestyle will determine how long your treatment's results last. As with invasive procedures such as Liposuction, a combination of good dietary habits, endermologie treatments and exercise are necessary to keep the fat from returning. Since Mesotherapy is a natural process that works with your body's physiology, your physician may recommend a change in your lifestyle to maximize the overall duration.

Proper dietary lifestyle and nutritional supplementation are essential to achieve the best long-term results. Because aging is a dynamic process that cannot be stopped, Mesotherapy is a useful anti-aging tool in preventing against the ravages of aging.
